Lounge Hospitality
EL AL is changing its policy for hosting Matmid members and accompanying passengers at the King David Lounge at Ben-Gurion Airport and at overseas lounges.
Gold and Silver King David Club members will continue to enjoy lounge hospitality before their EL AL/UP flights but will not be hosted when flying with another airline

- Free Entry for Accompanying Passengers
- Hospitality in the King David Lounge at Ben-Gurion Airport is permitted only before EL AL and UP flights
- At the King David Lounge at Ben-Gurion Airport, only Top Platinum members, Platinum members and accompanying passengers may be hosted before flights with other airlines
- You may host a maximum number of accompanying passengers in the King David Lounge according to a pre-determined limit. The number of entries will be counted as of February 10, 2015
- Silver members can join the King David Club at a 50% discount for the first 3 months after completing Gold membership
- King David Club members are entitled to host accompanying passengers if they are accompanying the member on his/her flight
- It is possible to host accompanying passengers on a flight above the permitted limit in exchange for points: before EL AL and Up flights – 100 points per person
- It is possible to host up to two accompanying passengers above the permitted limit in exchange for points
