Earning Points From Flights

 

​​​Earning Points from EL AL Flights - For members who are living outside of Israel



As part of the changes in the New Matmid Club Program, point accumulation to all EL AL destinations in all service classes will be updated as of February 10, 2015.

The table does not include additional points given for tier.
EXECUTIVE Members will earn 20% more points on all EL AL flights (including UP flights).
Points will be given as Basic points which are counted for premium tiers and for commercial upgrade lists.

Additional information about earning points from EL AL flights
  • Points are not earned on bonus tickets, agent tickets, free tickets, aviation employee tickets, charter flights and special discount tickets
  • Points are earned according to the class that appears on the flight ticket and not on the boarding card
  • Points earned from EL AL flights are Basic points with a validity of 3 years from the day of accrual. If they are not used within this period they will become invalid and be deleted
  • Points earned from Sun D’Or flights are Extra points. No points will be given for tier, subject to Matmid Club regulations that appear on the EL AL website
  • It is important to note the Matmid Club membership number when booking or changing a reservation so that the points can be credited automatically to the club account
  • Points from EL AL flights are updated automatically within 72 hours of the flight date
  • It is fast and simple to update points from flights that were not registered in your Matmid Club account. Just enter the club site with your member details and type in the flight details. The missing flight points will be updated by a Service Center representative within 10 work days from receipt of the request
  • We recommend updating on the website flights that do not appear your account 72 hours after the flight.  You can also contact the club’s service center and attach copies of your flight tickets and boarding passes. If the flight should credit your account with points, we will update your account accordingly. The points will be added to your account within a month of receiving your request


  • Points can be credited for flights that took place during the previous 12 months, conditional on your having been Matmid members at the time of the flight. Flights can be updated retroactively up to two months from the day you joined the club
