Updates and changes in flights to/from European destinations in Economy Class

As of April 30th 2018, EL AL will launch three types of flight tickets that will be offered in Economy Class to all European destinations. From now on, you can purchase the flight package that best suits your needs and pay only for the components you choose, while still enjoying EL AL's high standards

Now, you can choose between three ways to fly in our Economy Class, each offering unique advantages. The first and newest is Lite, for those looking for a basic flight, enabling passengers to spend a minimum time, as possible, at the airport.

The next one, Classic, as its name implies, is the classic way you all know. Prefer to fly with a suitcase and pre-assigned seating? This is the flight ticket for you. It enables you to cancel or change the ticket for an additional charge (not valid for Lite ticket purchasers).

The third option, Flex, offers maximum flexibility for changes and cancellation.​

- In the event of change in aircraft type or configuration, including the operation of the flight by a different airline, changes may apply to your selected seat, depending on the conditions of transportation. In case of paid seating, if no alternate seat is found, the customer will be refunded for seat payment.

Will only be handled by a travel agent or EL AL`s Call Center.Flight ticket changes require a handling fee of $50 (per passenger) and $15 for a baby at EL AL`s Call Center/offices. If you wish to change your flight ticket, you may be required to pay the increment between the original and the new price, that will be charged in addition to the change and handling fees (if the price enables changes). In case the flight ticket is comprised of two separate price types, the strictest conditions (change and cancelation) will apply. It is hereby clarified that the name of the passenger on the ticket cannot be changed.

When using Lite and Classic flight tickets and in the event of no-show, it will not be possible to use, cancel or change the remaining flight segments included on the flight ticket.

When using Flex flight tickets - in the event of no-show to the first flight segment, the remaining flight segments can be utilized only after payment to the party from which the ticket was purchased is settled. As long as a passenger who did not show to the first flight segment wishes to be compensated for the remaining flight segments, they will be charged a $200 fee (for Flex ticket, only in Y, S, M booking classes) or $250 (for other booking classes). If a passenger wishes to change the remaining flight segments, they will be charged a $200 fee (additional costs may apply due to price gaps).​

  • Prices are presented in US dollars; in some airports, payment can only be made in local currency (based on the conversion rate on the day of payment).
  • In the case of combination of prices in different ticket rate types, the strictest terms and conditions will apply.

  • The purchase of a product/service will only be completed with the receipt of payment confirmation. It is important to ensure that you receive such confirmation, as you may be required to present it to the Company Representatives prior to the receipt of product/services.
  • Seating, baggage and service policies may change in case of aircraft replacement, and/or in case of flights operated by different airlines.
  • Subject to the provisions of law, in the event of change/cancellation of the additional services after their purchase, no refund will be made and the passenger will be liable for full payment for such services
  • EL AL reserves the right to change the baggage and seating rates from time to time. The determining rate is the rate on the day of payment for the service.​​
