Matmid Frequent Flyer Club members begin earning points from their first flight. The more points you earn, the more you will be able to take advantage of diverse flight benefits, such as upgrades and baggage benefits as well as reaching the next tier.

Concierge Service

​​Concierge services are available 24 hours a day, offering a variety of tourism-related services in Israel and worldwide: assistance in ordering taxi, limousine and private chauffeur services from every airport or hotel; making restaurant reservations, providing tourism information, tickets to exhibitions, plays and shows as well as many additional services.​

Lifetime Gold Membership

​​The Matmid Frequent Flyer Club awards lifelong Gold membership to members aged 67 and over, they held Gold, Platinum or Top Platinum member​ship through consecutive 10 years​.​

  •  Members of the EL AL Matmid Frequent Flyer Club (henceforth: the Club) will be entitled to receive Gold tier status for life, subject to these regulations (henceforth: “the benefit”). Members aged 67 or over who held Gold, Platinum or Top Platinum membership during the preceding consecutive ​10 years (prior to receiving the benefit), as a result of club activity - purchasing EL AL tickets - subject to Club regulations.
    For example: A Matmid member who as a result of his flight activity has held Gold membership for 5 years, Platinum membership for 3 years and Top Platinum membership for 2 years will also be entitled to this benefit
  • Club members entitled to the benefit who today hold Platinum or Top Platinum status will not receive the Gold status for life benefit unless they are demoted to Gold status due to reduced activity and maintained premium status (Gold, Platinum or Top Platinum) for the preceding consecutive 10 years
  • The benefit is personal and nontransferable to others including  Matmid members and/or family members and/or friends
  • Club members who are entitled to the benefit will be granted the status in advance and the appropriate Gold card will be sent to their homes. Therefore, there is no need to contact the Telephone Service Center
  • If the Gold card does not reach your home within 30 days, you may contact the service center for premium members by email: prestige@elal.co.il. You will receive a reply within 48 hours
  • The benefit and the conditions for Gold status, including its accompanying benefits, are subject to Matmid Club regulations, which are updated from time to time
  • Where regulations are written in the masculine, this is for the sake of convenience. Regulations also include females, in singular and plural
  • In any case of a contradiction and/or discrepancy of any kind between the directives of these regulations and other published material about the benefit, including the press and/or broadcasts and/or the EL AL website and/or its sites, the directives of these regulations will prevail in all matters
  • EL AL retains the right to cancel or change parts of the benefit conditions and/or the regulations at its own exclusive discretion​
Conditions for Receiving Lifetime Gold Status

1)
Basic Points – the number of points amassed in a member’s account for all EL AL flights actually taken by the member or for benefits accruing from the use of a FLY CARD PREMIUM credit card, as determined by EL AL and/or the club from time to time, at its exclusive discretion. Only these points, accumulated over a period of 12 sequential months, will serve to determine a member’s status and place on the entitlement list for last-minute upgrades, and all that this entails.​

(2) Gold (GL) tier members who purchase a LITE ticket are entitled to select any type of seating that is available in Economy Class to/from Europe during check-in at the airport or on the aircraft, on a space available basis.

(3) Gold (GL) tier members who purchase a CLASSIC ticket are entitled to select any type of seating available in Economy Class to/from Europe, at no cost, only after ticketing, through any of the distribution channels (the EL AL website, travel agents and the Service Center).

(4​) Excluding holiday periods, exhibitions and special events, code share flights, flights intended for groups, and excluding exceptional circumstances that are beyond EL AL’s control.
