Credit voucher issue request:

FAQ

1.   This interface can be used for:

  • In light of the current security situation, we have implemented a flexible policy
  • If you purchased EL AL's Protect service, you can receive a credit voucher subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
  • If your flight was delayed by more than 5 hours or was canceled by EL AL, and you did not choose an alternative flight option, you are entitled to either a credit voucher or a refund to your original payment method, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
  • Customers who purchased a round-trip flight ticket and used the outbound flight can only cancel their inbound flight through the service center and cannot apply for a credit voucher.
    • *Award tickets, group tickets and partially used tickets are not entitled to a credit voucher.


2. To start the process, enter the e-ticket number, your last name, and the time of scheduled departure as it appears on your ticket. Customers with multiple tickets must repeat this process for every ticket separately. On the last page appears an option of repeating the process for another ticket or finishing the process.

3.  The credit voucher will be sent within 7 days to the email address that was entered while requesting the reimbursement on the interface. The voucher will have the following details: voucher number, amount of the voucher's value, its expiry date, and the amount of the original flight ticket.

​1. The voucher can be redeemed according to the validity period stated on it, for flights departing up to 11 months from the voucher's expiration date.

2. You can use one voucher to pay for up to nine flights.

3. Voucher Issuance Currency:
a. Possible voucher issuance currencies include: U.S. dollars, Euros, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, South African rand and the Pound Sterling.
b. If the flight ticket was issued in one of the currencies listed in Section 3A above, the credit voucher will also  be issued in that currency.
c. If the flight ticket was issued in a currency not listed in Section 3 above, the credit voucher will be issued in U.S. dollars. The conversion will be based on the representative exchange rate on the date the voucher was issued.
d. Section 3 refers to the value of the flight ticket including airport taxes, without supplementary services. If supplementary services for this ticket were purchased, their value will be calculated based on the voucher issuance  currency as defined in Section 3 above.
