The Mechanism of EL AL Cargo Fuel Price Index

The EL AL Cargo Fuel Price Index is implemented on the basis of the following mechanism, subject to local laws and regulations :

The calculated Fuel Price Index of EL AL Cargo uses an index point system, wherein 100 index points are equivalent to a price of 53.35 Usd cents per US gallon jet fuel. The index value is calculated by mainly using the prices of the following spot markets: US Gulf Coast, Rotterdam and Singapore. Each spot market price is weighted according to the relative uplift percentage of EL AL Cargo in the respective spot market area.
As these percentages are subject to change, EL AL Cargo reserves itself the right to evaluate the uplift percentages and adapt them if changes throughout the EL AL Cargo network have occurred.
The FSC is determined for flights originating in any given country based on:
a. local laws and regulations, or
b. the equivalent amount converted in local currency if applicable, or
c. market circumstances.
