EL AL Announces Lower Fall & Winter Fares From Many U.S.A. Cities To Israel
Fuel Surcharge Reduced by 20%
New York, NY – September 24, 2008 – EL AL, Israel’s national airline, is offering excellent roundtrip airfares for passengers traveling from 15 cities throughout the United States to Israel this fall and winter. As part of an ongoing commitment to provide greater value to passengers, EL AL has also announced a 20% decrease in the fuel surcharge for travel to Israel after October 19th.
Newly reduced roundtrip economy class fares (including all fuel surcharges) are now being offered for departures November 1, 2008 thru March 9, 2009 on EL AL nonstop flights from the U.S.A to Israel: $1,051 on flights departing from and returning to JFK on Mondays and $1,311 for passengers traveling roundtrip from Los Angeles on Tuesdays on the only nonstop flights to and from Israel. These tickets must be purchased by October 6th.
For passengers seeking more flexible travel days of the week during the same time period, a special economy class fare is available for departures on nonstop flights from New York (JFK/Newark) for $1,115 and nonstop from Los Angeles for $1,441. The fuel surcharge is also included in these lower airfares.
EL AL travelers from cities throughout the United States will be able to take advantage of the new roundtrip fall/winter economy class airfares that include all fuel surcharges and are available for travel October 26, 2008 thru March 31, 2009 (except December 17-24, 2008). Children under 12 years old also receive a 10% discount from these airfares. These tickets must be purchased by October 6th. EL AL passengers departing from Boston and Washington, D.C. pay $1,111; from Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Minneapolis and West Palm Beach the fare is $1,211 and for travelers from Phoenix, Seattle, and San Francisco the ticket cost is $1,311.
EL AL passengers departing from all of the above cities travel on a leading domestic carrier and easily connect to an EL AL nonstop flight to Israel. Additionally, passengers save more money as there is no need to purchase a separate domestic ticket. Also, luggage is transferred from the domestic carrier to EL AL and the same is true on the return flight.
EL AL passengers departing from Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. benefit from a new code share agreement with American Airlines. EL AL passengers can choose a free stopover in London, Paris, Madrid, Zurich and (in the near future, Barcelona) on the way to Israel or on the return. And, EL AL Matmid frequent flyer members can earn points on any flight operated by American Airlines.
