Special Platinum Business Class fares are also available on EL AL/American Airlines code share flights originating in Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Miami, San Francisco and Washington, DC. These promotions include roundtrip fare as well as all fuel surcharges and are available for travel from October 26, 2008 thru March 31, 2009 (except December 17-24, 2008).
From New York (JFK/Newark), when two people travel together and purchase both tickets at the same time, the roundtrip companion Platinum Business Class ticket costs $3,611 (a savings of $1,197) and the other Platinum Business Class ticket costs $4,808 (the usual fare for the same flights). From Los Angeles, the special roundtrip Platinum Business Class companion fare is $4,011 (with a savings of $1,383) and the other roundtrip ticket is $5,394 (the usual fare for the same flights).
Greater savings are offered on convenient code share flights from Boston and Washington, DC for $3,611; Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth and Miami for $3,811; and San Francisco for just $4,011. On code share flights, EL AL passengers fly from one of these gateway cities on American Airlines and easily connect to the nonstop EL AL flight to and from Israel. Another benefit is that luggage is automatically transferred to the EL AL flight in both directions and there is no need to purchase a separate domestic ticket. EL AL Matmid frequent flyers can earn points on any flight operated by American Airlines. Additionally, frequent flyers and premium class passengers of both airlines can enjoy the first and business class lounges of either airline.
