EL AL, the national carrier of Israel, has been rated one of the top long haul airlines in a consumer survey published by Which? Magazine this month.

Readers of Which? placed EL AL ahead of any UK carrier to be rated one of the top five long haul airlines in this poll.

The magazine sent postal questionnaires to over 200,000 Which? Members asking them to rate airlines in eight categories; these included cabin staff, cleanliness and value for money and received answers relating to 71 different airlines, both long and short haul. This is the first survey that Which? Magazine has conducted on this scale.

EL AL will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in September and the airline has recently announced the launch of newly upgraded website www.elal.co.uk, including an express online check-in service for departures from London Heathrow.
