Renaming of passenger and visitor facilities at Zurich Airport
In order to make it easier for everyone to find their way around the airport, the signposting will be based exclusively on function design instead of names. For departing passengers this means that after arriving at Zurich Airport, you only need to follow two signs in order to make your way to the aircraft: “Check-in” and “Gates”. And as an incoming passenger, all you need to look for is the “Exit Zurich” sign
Check-in for EL AL flights
Check in 2
As before, you can check in for your EL AL flights in Check-in 2 [new signs] (previously check in B), check-in desks rows 4 and 5 for Economy Class passengers and row 3 for Business Class passengers as well as PL, GL and KDM members.
Check-in 3
This check-in 3 is located directly above the railway station. During peak hours you will be able to check-in immediately upon arrival at the airport.
In addition, all necessary information for check-in is displayed on numerous monitors all over the airport.
The EL AL handling agent, CGS (Customer Ground Services) is located opposite row one Check-in 2, for ticketing.
New Dock E (Midfield)
From September 2003 onwards, the new dock E (midfield) will be open for operation. EL AL flights will also start to operate from the new dock midfield.
You will be able to reach the 480-metre long Dock E via the underground shuttle, “Skymetro”. Here your will find spacious waiting areas and lounges as well as restaurants and shops. The various interior zones are practically oriented and well-lit. Passengers will board their aircraft via open ramps located along the attractive façade, while arriving passengers are let directly to the Skymetro station.
Immediately after check-in, EL AL passengers must proceed directly to Dock E in order to do the security check at the boarding gate.
Thank you for your attention and co-operation and we do look forward to welcome you on board of an EL AL aircraft !
