Membership in the Silver Tier will be awarded for accumulating 1000 points or more from EL AL flights only (the base number of points) during a 12 consecutive months. Membership will be renewed, one year from the day it was awarded, if you have accumulated 800 points on EL AL Airlines only (the base number of points) during that period. Silver membership allows you to continue enjoying the benefits awarded to all Matmid members and also earns you additional special benefits:

• An additional 10% in points above the base number of points accumulated for EL AL flights (the additional points are also valid for bonus tickets and upgrades and are not counted towards renewing your Silver Tier status or receiving Gold Tier status or eligibility for reduced-price last-minute upgrades).
• Guaranteed seating in Economy Class up to 72 hours before a flight for tickets in Y Class (except during Holiday periods; on code-share flights; on special group flights; and under unusual circumstances that are not under EL AL's control).

• Reduced price last-minute upgrades 48 hours before a flight. As a Silver member, you can enjoy attractive reduced price upgrades 48 hours before a flight. These upgrades are offered on a space available basis.

  1.Upgrades from Economy Class to Business Class for members who have accumulated 1000 points or more in the last 12 consecutive months from EL AL flights only (the base number of points), holding Y, S, and M Class tickets.

  2.Upgrades from Business Class to First Class: for members who have accumulated 1600 points or more in 12 consecutive months from EL AL flights only (the base number of points), holding C, and I Class tickets.

• As a Silver member you have preference on the waiting list for EL AL flights.
• 5 additional kilograms for accompanying luggage (stored in the hold) to EL AL destinations in the Middle East, Europe, South Africa and the Far East – FREE (Economy Class – 25 kg; Business Class – 35kg; First Class – 45kg.(exclusive of code share or continuation flights to other destinations).
• Membership in the King David Club without obligation to meet the condition of accumulating 1,000 points during 12 consecutive months, for the full registration fee of 300$ (in shekels, including VAT).
